Remembering Chris Cornell & Chester Bennington

Remembering Chris Cornell & Chester Bennington

Two voices. Two hearts. One eternal bond.

Today, I’m remembering Chris Cornell, born on July 20, 1964, and Chester Bennington, who heartbreakingly left us on July 20, 2017on Chris’s birthday. It’s a connection that feels deeper than coincidence. Two friends. Two icons. Two souls who gave everything to their art, and whose voices gave comfort to millions.

Chris was the fire and the rain — raw, poetic, haunting.
Chester was the storm and the scream — unfiltered, fearless, vulnerable.
They weren’t just singers. They were truth-tellers in a world that often hides its pain.

Their friendship was real. Their losses still echo. And yet, so does their music — in our ears, in our hearts, and in the way we survive the darkness they sang so bravely about.

“Who cares if one more light goes out? Well I do…”
— Chester, singing what we all feel.

So today, I hope you’re celebrating your birthday in heaven, Chris, and I hope Chester is right there beside you — laughing, singing, and shining like always.

Happy birthday, Chris Cornell.
We miss you both. Always.
