IT’S OFFICIAL: SOUNDGARDEN INDUCTED INTO THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME (2025)

Grunge gods. Sonic pioneers. Unstoppable force.

After decades of shaking the foundations of rock with their seismic sound and fearless innovation, Soundgarden has finally been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame — and it’s about damn time.

From the unholy thunder of “Jesus Christ Pose” to the hypnotic beauty of “Black Hole Sun”, Soundgarden didn’t just ride the grunge wave — they helped birth it. Alongside Nirvana and Pearl Jam, they gave Seattle a sound. But unlike anyone else, they twisted it into something darker, heavier, and more cerebral.

At the heart of it all was Chris Cornell — a voice that could shake the sky or whisper like smoke. With a four-octave range and a soul full of fire, he was both warrior and poet. And with bandmates Kim Thayil’s jagged riffs, Matt Cameron’s complex rhythms, and Ben Shepherd’s brooding bass, they built a sound that was as unpredictable as it was undeniable.

 Metal.
 Punk.
 Psychedelia.

Soundgarden wove it all into a singular, sludgy, soaring sound that redefined what heavy music could be. They challenged their audience. They took risks. They never played it safe.

This induction isn’t just overdue — it’s a reckoning.

For Chris, whose voice and spirit still echo in every distorted chord.
For the music, which never aged, never softened, and never surrendered.
For the legacy — one that continues to inspire artists who refuse to fit into boxes.

Soundgarden is finally where they belong — in the Hall of Fame.
Loud. Proud. Eternal.

Let the sky cry Superunknown tonight.
